Position: Field Ranger (Level 4) - Jonkershoek Nature Reserve Complex

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Patrol allocated areas to monitor, observe and protect biodiversity
• Implement operational activities of conservation management plans
• Perform fire management duties including prevention and control of wildfires
• Participate in wildlife monitoring and data collection
• Maintain reserve infrastructure and equipment
• Enforce compliance with conservation regulations
• Participate in community outreach and education activities
• Assist with alien vegetation control and habitat restoration
• Respond to incidents and emergency situations within the reserve
• Maintain accurate records of field activities and observations

• National Certificate in Conservation or related field
• Experience in natural resource management or conservation
• Valid driver's license
• Physical fitness and ability to work in challenging terrain
• Knowledge of local flora and fauna
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
