DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage indigenous plant collections in the botanical garden
• Propagate and cultivate South African flora
• Implement garden development plans
• Supervise garden staff and volunteers
• Maintain horticultural records and databases
• Conduct plant research and conservation activities
• Participate in public education programs
• Monitor plant health and implement pest control
• Contribute to plant conservation strategies
• Coordinate with other botanical gardens

• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Botany or related field
• Minimum 3 years experience in botanical garden management
• Knowledge of South African indigenous flora
• Practical experience in plant propagation techniques
• Staff management experience
• Computer literacy and record-keeping skills
• Valid driver's license
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in public education and outreach (desirable)
• Plant conservation knowledge (desirable)
