DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implement marine conservation programs, provide technical support to partners, engage with stakeholders, and contribute to policy development for marine and coastal conservation.


The Marine Conservation Officer will support the implementation of IUCN's marine conservation program in Eastern Africa. They will work on projects related to marine protected areas, sustainable fisheries, blue economy, and coastal ecosystem conservation.

Master's degree in marine biology, marine ecology, conservation, or related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in marine conservation or coastal management. Experience working in Eastern Africa and with local communities on conservation initiatives.
